Magnetic stripe cards carry graphical and electronically readable information, recorded on a magnetic stripe. It can be LoCo (with low coercitivity, i.e. weaker resilience to strong magnetic fields) and HiCo (high coercitivity with higher resilience). The magnetic stripe consists of three tracks. 79 alphanumerical symbols can be written on the first track as per the ISO standards, up to 40 digital symbols can be written on the second track, and up to 104 digital symbols – on the third track.
They are widely used in card systems with electronic identification – bank cards, discount cards, bonus cards, time attendance and access control cards. They are offered in the following colors: white, gold, silver, red, black and yellow. One advantage of the magnetic card is the low price per product with electronic information carrier.
